Story says that many years ago, fishermen got a whole lot of lobsters daily and american tourists could eat them right there. Having that many people on site, the wives of these fishermen opened their homes to them and prepared the lobsters right in their kitchens. That is how the legendary “Puerto Nuevo Style” lobster came to be what we know today, getting so many tourists from all over the world.
In recent days, one of Puerto Nuevo restaurants “La Casa de la Langosta”, with its legendary and gastronomic tradition, got a special award during the 30th edition of the “Premio al Mérito Empresarial Restaurantero”. With two restaurants, in Puerto Nuevo and The Park in Tijuana, we chatted with them on how to prepare and eat this dish correctly.
