If one thing is true, it's that wine can be enjoyed at any time of year! The Baja California wine region sees a larger percentage of its visitors during the summer season. Yet, the same comforting amenities are offered year-round. All of which may fit perfectly with your New Year's Eve plans to dress up, drink up, and ring in the new year with style.
The Ruta del Vino, a route of vineyards lined up in Guadalupe Valley, plans for New Year's celebrations months ahead– with pre-fixed special dinners and accommodation options ranging from cabins and boutique hotels to hotels in downtown Ensenada that offer transportation to and from the vineyards.
We recommend booking in advance as the vineyards along Guadalupe Valley do tend to fill up quickly. It is also important to review each location's special holiday hours to ensure you make the most out of your trip.
Once temperatures begin to drop, the landscapes in the vineyards change from green to fall earth tones and brown hues, but the views are just as impressive.
If you are planning an outdoor tour, keep in mind that it could be cold, so come prepared with a good jacket or layers for the afternoon and evenings.
When it comes to eating in this region, the vast majority of people prefer to do it outdoors, but do not worry, most restaurants are equipped with fireplaces or heaters.
