Condor of Baja California

Condor of Baja California

Admire the American condor in its natural habitat. Before arriving at Sierra San Pedro Martir there’s a sanctuary where this beautiful Baja Californian species meets.
Condor of Baja California
Baja California
They’re the biggest land birds in the world, which live up to 50 years and maintain one life partner. Being able to observe them is a privilege and a pride of Baja California, around 80 years back they were classified on the edge of extinction and only 27 specimens flying freely.

Today there’s more than 100 of them and they are a part of a rescue program between Mexico and the United States. There birds have a wingspan of 3 meters, see how they fly above the cliffs of the Sierra and learn about how they’ve adapted, reproduced, their feeding conditions and nesting. An Experience not everyone gets to live!
