The BC-1 Mesa Los Indios trail is located in the Tempe Valley, a place steeped in history, surrounded by three hills, which is crossed by two streams that transform and fill their flows with the waters that descend from Cerro La Zorra and Cerro La Tinaja.
The Tempe Valley is closely related to the development of Kumiai culture, representing part of the connection between the now populated La Misión and the Kumiai settlement of San José de La Zorra. The original peoples inhabited this Valley in search of shelter and food.
