Try the Puerto Nuevo style Lobster

The most famous thing in terms of Rosarito's cuisine is undoubtedly the Puerto Nuevo style lobster, famous for its butter and lemon flavor, as well as for its presentation with freshly made flour tortillas, refried beans and rice. Lobster is typically served in a wicker basket with lemons and a hot butter sauce for dipping.

The tradition began in the 1950s, when several fishermen with the objective of attracting tourism provided fishing trips and left this point. Some fishermen's wives offered their cuisine to prepare the day's lobster, in the warmth of their home, and it began to become popular and be a mandatory stop.
