Under the direction of Gregorio Coral, the stage performance Raíz is presented—a work that explores the underworld and the divine, using the human form as a vehicle to connect these two realms. The root is that inverted trunk that binds these two worlds together.
The play shifts perspectives, with the underworld becoming the divine, and vice versa. The innermost depths rooted in the earth transform into the aerial world, with the root symbolizing the tree of life. The performance features four actors who embody earth, root, branch, and tree.
Intended for audiences 16 and older, the performance will be held at CEART Playas de Rosarito.
