Did you grow up in the '80s or '90s? The early 2000s, even... And, you have an upcoming visit planned to Tijuana! Then, you should visit the Collector's & Lucha Libre Museum, or the El Museo del Coleccionista y Lucha Libre, as it is known locally. The quirky museum takes you on a trip down memory lane with articles, toys, masks, magazines, and one-of-a-kind comics and books.This is a great way to learn about Mexican pop culture while reminiscing on your childhood heroes. El Santo! Mil Mascaras! If you have children, we highly recommend taking them with you to share a bit of what it was like to play and watch Lucha Libra during your childhood.
The Collector's and Wrestling Museum opened its doors in 2017 and displays over 11,517 pieces– including an exhibit at the Museum of Lucha Libre that includes over 600 masks and other articles needed for the sport. Better yet, make it an Instagram moment as the museum has a wrestling ring where visitors can take photos.
