THE CORONADOS
The Coronados are a group of four small islands located in front of the Northwest coast of Baja California. Wind and wave struck, the islands have very little vegetation and remain uninhabited, except for a small military garrison and a few lighthouse keepers. The Islands are between 25.6 and 32 Km from San Diego Bay (CA) entry and at only 13.6 Km from the Mexican Peninsula. This islands are part of Tijuana Municipality and receive dive boats from Ensenada, Rosarito and Ensenada, disembarking is not allowed.
Leeward sides have shallow water bottoms, under 45 feet, with visibilities that depend on upwells and ocean conditions, windward sides are rock walls facing the open ocean.
